Thank you. Since the initial decision, there are so many elements involved in the overthrow Roe v. Wade over the years. Maybe one day files will be opened to reveal the correspondence, plans, activities among political and religious groups to eventually take down Roe V Wade. The issue, however, will not go away. Meanwhile there has been the sorry and bravery in places like Ukraine. Thought, prayers, support go out to Ukraine. But there are other unbelievable atrocities and devastations, like Democratic Republic of Congo--where since its 1960 independence, the country has lost an estimated 6 million people--due to conflict and its related causes. WHY??? so little continuous news? Maybe because the WEALTH of that country out measures almost every other country in the world and those who want to unlawfully take the wealth prefer chaos. And chaos, corruption, disinterest on the part of a wider world has led to this. OR, perhaps, it just maybe that the majority of those losing their lives in the DRC are Black?
As a Jew whose family arrived in the US 3 generations ago at the start of the 20th C, I awoke this morning wondering whether MTG would organize firing squads to enforce a ban or enslavement of non-white, non-Christian former Americans......I got over it quickly and intend to redouble efforts to avert the group think of a democratic debacle in Nov....but if the Ukrainians can fight the Russians, we certainly can get smart about beating reactionaries.
